Trucept Inc., a professional employer organization that also provides health care staffing, announced Tuesday it had relocated its headquarters from San Diego to Tampa, Fla.
The decision to move was made because most of the firm’s clients and payroll processors are on the East Coast, the company said.
The relocation news comes less than a month after another major announcement from the company. On Nov. 9, Trucept said its CEO, Brian Bonar, was retiring. The company said it planned to launch a search for a new chief executive immediately.
Trucept was previously Smart-Tek Solutions Inc. The company changed its name in 2013.
