The San Diego County Taxpayers Association is looking for nominations for its annual Golden Watchdog and Golden Fleece awards, recognizing local government’s saints and sinners.
The competition gives the public the chance to voice kudos and criticism of government spending by nominating programs which demonstrate the smart and not-so-smart decisions of the past year, the association said.
Nomination forms can be obtained from the association by calling (619) 234-6423 or via the taxpayers association’s Web site at (http://SDCTA.org).
Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged. The deadline is April 15.
