Tapestry Solutions Gets Royal Australian Navy Contract

Kearny Mesa-based Tapestry Solutions said that it received a multimillion-dollar contract from the Royal Australian Navy to create a software tool for a new class of ship.

Tapestry said July 10 that under its multiyear deal, it will create software to help navy officials determine how to load the Canberra-class big-deck amphibious ships.

Tapestry Solutions is part of Boeing Co.; Tapestry and University City-based Miro Technologies form Boeing (NYSE: BA)’s Logistics Information Management Systems subdivision.

Tapestry’s Load Planning Tool will help navy officials determine the best loading location and sequence for equipment and supplies including helicopters, landing craft, engineering equipment, cargo trucks and vehicles.
