Starting Time, an Oceanside-based maker of golf products, has begun marketing a new golf tee designed to add extra yardage to tee shots. According to a Dec. 21 company statement, the Tips tees use flexible PVC plastic and have eight tips on the top for the ball to rest on.
The company says the tees produce less friction and better control over the spin of the ball. The tees come in three sizes to accommodate different holes and driver sizes.
The company, led by President Hugh Penton, makes and markets golf equipment, as well as training and education tools and gear related to golf course maintenance.
