Southwestern Offers Series of Business Courses

Southwestern College will offer a series of free courses beginning in March to California business leaders and key personnel who have direct responsibility for increasing their company’s trade with Mexico.

The first four-week course, Doing Business in Mexico, begins March 21 and will cover the cultural differences that can make or break a business relationship. The second course, titled Goal Setting Strategies, begins April 1 and will focus on how to define and implement an optimum strategy for success.

Project Management, beginning April 4, will discuss how to apply project management tools in a practical course. The final course in the series, Supervisory Skills, beginning April 17, focuses on ways people achieve personal success by helping their peers, associates, employees and collaborators reach their own potential.

Classes will be held at Southwestern College, 900 Otay Lakes Road in Chula Vista. For information, call Rebecca Torra at the new California-Mexico Trade Assistance Center, (619) 482-6391. To register, call (619) 482-6376.
