Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center’s chief medical officer has been appointed to a board that helps a number of state and regional groups improve industry performance and foster innovation.
Dr. Lynn Welling was among three new members named Dec. 13 to the Hospital Quality Institute Board of Directors. He will serve a three-year term through 2019.
The institute directs strategies for patient safety and quality improvement at the California Hospital Association, Hospital Council, Hospital Association of Southern California and Hospital Association of San Diego & Imperial Counties.
