San Diego State University’s Entrepreneurial Management Center, part of its business college, has teamed up with UC San Diego’s Technology Transfer & Intellectual Property Services office to allow master’s degree students to work with licensing officers on strategic analysis projects.
TechTIPS, as the UCSD services office is known, is responsible for managing the school’s new inventions, research materials, and intellectual property materials that could be copyrighted.
The program is expected to benefit San Diego’s entrepreneurial community and possibly increase regional investments in licensing deals while offering students an integral role in the licensing efforts.
