FACE Foundation has announced Michelle Danks as director of development and marketing. Danks will handle media and public relations efforts along with community events, business development and fundraising efforts for the organization. Her experiences owning a pet magazine, working with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Las Vegas Valley Humane Society, Noah’s Animal House, and serving as an account manager for a public relations firm have prepared Danks for her newest professional endeavor. FACE Foundation, which stands for Financial Assistance Care Education, was established in 2006 to assist families whose pets undergo costly or urgent medical care. Funds are administered in the form of grants to pet owners in need.

Rigoberto Herrera has joined Vibra Bank in Chula Vista as a loan officer. The bank, which emphasizes service to Hispanic and Latino markets, opened in July of 2008. Herrera obtained his degree from University of Miami and has more than 13 years of experience in international and domestic lending.
Construction and Design
RJC Architects has announced Brian D. Schmitt as project manager. Schmitt will oversee construction documents from conceptual design through completion on the new $24 million parking structure being built at Cal State San Marcos.
Thuan Ton has been rehired by Domus Studio Architects as a designer and computer-aided design drafter. He will coordinate information between builders and consultants, drafting and assembly of construction documents, construction sketches, and final models for client presentations. He will also participate in the schematic design process.
Civil engineering firm Masson & Associates has announced Edilberto “Bo” Sousa, vice president, as a firm associate. His 20 years of industry experience includes civil engineering design, construction, construction management and inspection.

Developmental Services Continuum has brought on Maureen Carasiti as associate director. She joins the administrative team with more than 25 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities.

Tim Boes has been named president of AMN Healthcare’s staff care division. He will manage overall profit and loss in the temporary physician staffing division. AMN also announced Lynn Halstead as senior vice president of client services. She will lead the company’s nurse staffing client sales team.
Scripps Health has appointed Patric Thomas as chief information officer and corporate vice president. Thomas has been part of the company since 2005 and has served as interim CIO since February.

Kirt W. Shuldberg has joined the San Diego/Del Mar location of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton as a partner in the firm’s corporate practice group. Shuldberg specializes in corporate and securities law, including venture capital, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings.

The board of directors of the North Coast Repertory Theatre has promoted business manager Gaidi Finnie to the position of managing director.

Ethertronics, a provider of antennas for wireless devices, announced Joe Wu as vice president of global manufacturing operations. Wu will be responsible for supply chain management worldwide and strategic sourcing for all products.
Matthew McManus has been promoted to the position of vice president of sales. Formerly the director of sales operations, McManus will head the North American sales team.
