Casey Gerry has promoted senior associate Thomas Luneau to partner. He focuses primarily on personal injury, products liability and civil rights, and has extensive experience with a variety of cases, including trucking cases and Rhino ATV rollovers. Luneau has successfully represented individuals from law enforcement agencies such as the San Diego Police Department, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the California Highway Patrol, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and military personnel including the Marines, Navy officers and enlisted servicemen. The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego’s board has appointed four new members, four returning members and a new set of officers for the 2009-10 year. Dr. Peter C. Farrell will serve as president, David C. Copley, Maryanne Pfister and Matthew C. Strauss will serve as vice presidents, Faye Russell as treasurer, and Barbara Bloom as secretary. Newly elected trustees include Melissa Bartell, Valerie Cooper, Leon Kassel and Holly McGrath, and returning members Copley, Barbara Arledge, Colette Carson Royston and Sheryl White. Charles G. Cochrane, Nora D. Sargent and Brent V. Woods will be leaving the board following their completed terms of service.

RSM McGladrey has announced that Dana Williams has been named California Transaction Support Services leader. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving growth, overseeing client service and building the Transaction Support Services practice in the Northern and Southern California markets. Three new scientists have joined Cibus: Dr. Uvini Gunawardena, Ph.D.; Brian Aevermann, M.S.; and Tiffany Hsu. Gunawardena will be a researcher scientist in molecular biology. She brings more than 20 years of experience to her role and will be responsible for introducing, directing and administering all preclinical scientific research, planning and executing laboratory research, participating in patent applications, and assisting with scientific literature and conferences. In addition, she will be responsible for overseeing and developing the research group. Serving as a senior research associate, Aevermann will have a direct, hands-on role in the research conducted within the company’s Cell Biology Group. He will be responsible for specific technical aspects of the research, combining both plant cell culture and plant molecular biology, and chiefly focusing on plant cell biology with a particular focus on plant regeneration techniques. Hsu will serve as a research associate in cell biology and will be responsible for researching special projects, analyzing data and interpreting results, and preparing technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.
Restorative Remedies has announced that Jackie Townsend has been named the company’s new CEO. She will manage the direction and vision for the company and its entire product line. She founded The Townsend Agency in 1993 and it was acquired by JHG in 2007, where she had been agency executive vice president.

Roppongi Restaurant and Sushi Bar has named Mark Wheadon as general manager. He brings more than 19 years of hospitality experience to the restaurant and most recently served as general manager of Crescent Heights Kitchen & Lounge.

Julie Adams has been named worldwide sales director for Quik-Pak, a division of Delphon Industries. In her new role, Adams will be responsible for managing all sales activities and working with engineering and manufacturing staff to stimulate business development opportunities and to assure that customer requirements are met.
Jeff Blodgett has been promoted to regional sales manager of Waxie Sanitary Supply’s San Diego division. Blodgett began at Waxie in 2006 as sales manager. Prior to that, he worked in the sales and property management industry, serving in roles such as regional account manager and senior account director.
