San Diego was recently selected as the most family-friendly city in the Southwest by readers of FamilyFun magazine.
According to the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau, the region’s sunny skies, beaches and kid-friendly attractions were cited as key reasons.
San Diego won out over San Francisco, which had the title last year, and other cities such as third-place San Antonio, fourth-place Honolulu and fifth-place Denver.
The survey involved 2,500 readers in five regions , the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Northwest and Southwest , and rated the 100 destinations in their respective regions.
Other categories included the best amusement parks, most relaxing beaches, top nature escapes and coolest cities.
