San Diego-based engineering and manufacturing firm Quartus Engineering Inc., which works with the aerospace, defense and optical industries, recently relocated its corporate headquarters, offices and manufacturing space to a new 47,000-square-foot facility in University Towne Center.
“Our expanding customer base in multiple industries has necessitated adding staff, infrastructure and fabrication capability,” said Jeff Frantz, vice president of sales and marketing.
The company’s new facility, which merges three offices into one, is a few miles from its previous headquarters, Quartus said in a statement Dec. 6. The new UTC-area facility also provides the company with five times its previous manufacturing and clean room space, president and CEO Doug Botos said.
Founded in 1997, Quartus has more than 100 employees in San Diego and in Sterling, VA.
