OneRoof Energy Inc., a residential solar services provider, has signed an agreement with the University of California, Riverside to test next-generation solar panels.
The initiative is designed to text next-generation photovoltaic (PV) modules for functionality under various real-life conditions. The partnership will quantify the modules’ benefits to homeowners, and validate assumptions that the technology produces more energy.
“Once testing is complete, we plan to add the new photovoltaic products to our solar offering portfolio,” said David Field, president and CEO of OneRoof Energy.
Independent testing of the new technology will be performed by researchers at UC Riverside’s Southern California Research Initiative for Solar Energy.
OneRoof Energy Inc. is a solar services provider offering homeowners traditional and lease financing, power purchase agreements, solar system design and installation project management, ongoing system monitoring and maintenance services, the company said.
