Science Applications International Corp., a San Diego-based company that employs 43,000 worldwide, has hired its new chief financial officer away from another large local defense contractor.
Mark Sopp, former CFO and treasurer at Titan Corp., joins SAIC as CFO and executive vice president.
Sopp worked at Titan during a five-year span that saw annual company revenues grow from $400 million to $2.5 billion.
Meanwhile, Tom Darcy, the company’s current CFO, will move into a newly created job overseeing the implementation of the company’s initial public offering and establishment of investor relations.
Darcy steps into the role of executive vice president of strategic projects after spending five years as the company’s chief financial officer.
