The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics Nassco a contract to maintain and provide repair services for seven San Diego-based frigates. Nassco announced the deal Aug. 17.
The contract has a potential value, if all options are exercised, of $75 million through 2012.
General Dynamics Nassco is located in Barrio Logan and has 4,600 San Diego employees.
Parent company General Dynamics is traded on the NYSE under the symbol GD.
