Local tax firm Millimaki Eggert LLP was bought and split between Cleveland-based CBIZ Inc. and Kansas City-based Mayer Hoffman McCann PC effective Jan. 1, the companies said Tuesday.
Mayer Hoffman acquired Millimaki Eggert’s attestation services business, while CBIZ took over the other aspects of Millimaki Eggert’s work. Mayer Hoffman and CBIZ are independent entities but work together in an alternative practice structure.
Millimaki Eggert was founded in 2005 and has 12 employees and $2.4 million in annual revenue. It has a specialty niche real estate practice. CBIZ said the firm will be folded into its existing San Diego office.
