Mayor Susan Golding appointed 24 citizens to a Strategy 2020 Committee intended to design the city’s strategic plan for the next 20 years.
The committee is divided into four parts, each charged with a different aspect of the city’s future strategy. The following people were appointed to chair the subcommittees: Urban Form and Environment, Kathleen Garcia, a landscape architect with Wallace, Roberts and Todd; Economic Prosperity, David Hale, president and CEO of Woman First Health Care; Infrastructure and Public Facilities, Robert McGill, president and CEO of Neighborhood National Bank; Neighborhood Quality, Jerry Sanders.
The committee will present its findings to the City Council before the end of 2000.
