Florida-based Marilyn Monroe Spas, a national chain with salon services, beauty products and related offerings, recently opened a new location of its Marilyn Monroe 20 Nail Lounge at Del Mar Highlands Town Center, in San Diego’s Carmel Valley neighborhood.
Operators said nail services provider 20 Lounge recently merged with Marilyn Monroe Spas, and existing 20 Lounge locations in Encinitas and Scottsdale, Ariz., are switching to a new brand called Marilyn Monroe Spas 20 Nail Lounge in coming weeks.
The new location is at 12925 El Camino Real.
Marilyn Monroe Spas was founded in Orlando, Fla., in 2012 and currently has 10 locations nationwide. According to a company statement, the salons were branded through a licensing agreement with Authentic Brands Group, an international intellectual property corporation representing the estate of the Hollywood icon.
The spa chain is led by CEO and founder Niki Bryan, who heads Niki Bryan Spa Management Co., and Executive Chairman Al Weiss, a former president of worldwide operations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, according to its website.
