Leadership Association’s Conference for Women to Feature Motivational Speakers

The San Diego Conference for Women 2000 will be held at the Marriott Mission Valley from July 31 to Aug. 1. Presented by the National Businesswomen’s Leadership Association, a sector of the National Seminar Organization, this career-building event will host numerous motivational speakers from across the country.

In its 12th year, this event draws between 100 and 200 women who select their own four-hour class schedule. In forming their individual schedules, businesswomen choose from the following classes:

– Success Skills , How to Handle Difficult People; Leadership With Soul and Substance; What Motivates You?; and Career Planning: Charting the Way to Career Fulfillment and Success.

– Professional Development , How to Be Assertive Without Being Pushy?; How Do Others See You? Keys to Exuding Confidence and Credibility; Communicating With Influence; Does Image Really Matter?

– Skill Enhancement , The Working Mom’s Guide to Juggling Time and Priorities; Lighten Up! How to Have More Fun at Work; Life Is More Exciting Outside: “The Comfort Zone!”; and Stress No More.

– Networking , Transportation, Construction, Manufacturing, Government, Health Care, Telecommunications, Wholesale/Retail, High-Tech, Service, Clubs, and Education.

Conference enrollment cost is $277 and includes post-conference workshops on Aug. 1. Morning workshops are “How to Manage Conflict and Anger” and “Legal Documents Every Woman Should Know About.” Afternoon workshops are “De-Junking Your Life: Tips for Finding Balance” and “Legal Documents Every Woman Should Know About.”
