The Chargers are sponsoring their 29th annual Blood Drive on Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Town and Country Convention Center at 500 Hotel Circle.
The team may not be knocking out opponents on the field this year as they did last year, but when it comes to drawing blood donations, the team has been a real winner.
Last year’s drive collected 2,024 pints and established a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for most blood donations given at a single location on a single day, the team said.
The event, held in conjunction with the San Diego Blood Bank, is also presented by San Diego County Credit Union.
In addition to a coveted Chargers Blood Drive long-sleeved shirt, donors will also be entered into a drawing for a 2008 Honda CRV.
