Sempra executive Francisco “Frank” J. Urtasun has been elected chairman of the San Diego Housing Commission.
Urtasun is regional vice president of external relations for Sempra Energy Services Corp. The San Diego State University graduate has served on the commission since November 2012.
His fellow board members at the commission unanimously voted him chairman.
The seven-member commission provides oversight for the agency and makes recommendations to the City Council. It functions as the city’s housing authority.
