Citing an uptick in its Los Angeles business and seeking to build on those gains, Carlsbad-based FMT Consultants LLC has opened an office on Santa Monica Boulevard in Century City.
Privately held FMT provides hardware and sophisticated enterprise software to business clients.
The business had 2012 revenue of $6 million and says it currently has more than 40 employees — up from 33 in August. It ranks seventh on the list of largest technology solution providers in the Business Journal’s 2014 Book of Lists.
Kevin De Pree will manage the Los Angeles office, which has four employees and could grow to eight by the end of the year, according to Jakob Bechgaard, FMT’s marketing manager.
The Los Angeles area provided a third of FMT’s revenue in 2013 and could account for half of the business’s growth in the current year, Bechgaard said. FMT anticipates getting more than $5 million in revenue from Los Angeles-area clients over the next three years.
Founded in 1995 by Tom Gildred, FMT offers information technology products from Dell, Microsoft, NetSuite and SAP. Clients include Isis Pharmaceuticals Inc., Santa Fe Christian School and Spy Optic. Eric Casazza is the company’s CEO.
FMT announced its new office on Feb. 28.
