San Diego-based Envision Solar announced recently that it’s creating a European subsidiary to fabricate and assemble its products for the European market.
The subsidiary, called Envision EU, will make Envision’s electric vehicle charging products the EV ARC and Solar Tree.
Envision has selected solar energy firm Aconfort as a partner in the EU. Aconfort has secured agreements with the government of Andalucia, BMW and others to help grow Envision EU’s business, according to an Envision news release.
“In the EU, government and enterprise spending on EV charging and renewable energy is growing at remarkable levels and we believe that Envisions’ products will be extremely successful in this market,” said Aquilino Ornia, CEO of Aconfort and managing director of Envision EU, in a statement. “We anticipate significant growth in Europe in 2016.”
Envision EU will be headquartered in Malaga, Spain.
