Massachusetts-based EMC Corp. said April 25 that it commenced its tender offer for all outstanding shares of Iomega Corp., a San Diego-based storage device maker. EMC is paying $3.85 per share, or $213 million. The tender offer ends May 21.
The Federal Trade Commission on April 22 declared an early end to the Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust law waiting period.
Iomega is traded as IOM on the New York Stock Exchange.
