Cubic Gets Slice of up to $496M U.S. Air Force contract

San Diego-based Cubic Corp. is among nine businesses chosen to divide up to $496 million worth of work under a U.S. Air Force contract awarded Jan. 9.

According to a Pentagon contract announcement, the nine businesses will support tactical platforms and time-sensitive applications for the DataLinks Enterprise community.

The businesses “will provide flexibility to accommodate command and control data and myriad types of signals intelligence, geospatial intelligence and full-motion video data and information capture,” the announcement said.

It was not clear how the funds will be split, or whether the government will award $496 million worth of work. Cubic and the other businesses will now await delivery orders. The location of performance and expected completion date will vary by delivery order.

Ten businesses bid for a piece of the work. Cubic was the only San Diego recipient.
