Roel Construction topped out (or put the uppermost steel beam in place) on Qualcomm Inc.’s “WT” Building at 5745 Pacific Heights Blvd. When complete, the 12-story building will consist of offices, laboratory space, a cafeteria and a fitness area. Completion is scheduled for October 2006.

Barnhart, Inc., a San Diego-based contractor, began construction of Bernardo Elementary School for the Escondido Union School District. The seven-building elementary school campus at 1122 Mountain Heights Drive will be 55,000 square feet. The project includes administrative areas, classrooms, a food service area, and a multipurpose room.

Good & Roberts, Inc., a general contracting company based in Vista, recently began construction of a Sampling Lab for Guidant Corp. at 26531 Ynez Road in Temecula. The project includes a new HVAC system and an exterior chemical storage enclosure.

Johnson & Jennings General Contracting completed construction of 996-square-foot offices for VideoTrack, a video services company. The offices are within the First National Bank Center at 401 W. A St. in Downtown San Diego. The scope of the work for Johnson & Jennings included demolition of the existing suite, and construction of private offices and a conference room.
