Charlotte Russe Holding, which runs a chain of 501 mall-based clothing stores, said Aug. 24 that it agreed to be sold to Advent International, a Boston-based private equity firm, for $17.50 a share. The amount is a 27 percent premium over the share price at the close of the day Aug. 21, the last trading day before the sale was announced.
