Mission Valley-based BlueHornet Networks has purchased a complementary business to create a new digital marketing company called Mapp Digital LLC.
BlueHornet bought Teradata Corp.’s digital marketing-related applications business in July for undisclosed terms. The combined company’s headquarters remain in Mission Valley and BlueHornet CEO Michael Biwer is CEO of Mapp.
The company bills itself as one of the largest independent digital marketing technology companies in the world, with 3,000 customers.
The business said its customer-centric services allow marketers to optimize messaging across email, social, mobile push and web marketing while leveraging its underlying data management platform.
Mapp unveiled its new brand and market strategy Sept. 14 at the Dmexco 2016 conference in Cologne, Germany.
