Bettie Youngs has been appointed to a two-year term on the Board of Directors of City Ballet of San Diego.
A resident of Del Mar, Youngs is executive director of the nonprofit Fuller Center for Housing in San Diego. She formerly taught at San Diego State University and is the author of 21 books.
City Ballet was established in 1993 under the direction of former Boston Ballet and Stuttgart Ballet dancers Steven and Elizabeth Wistrich.
