Ace Parking has a new solar-powered vehicle charging station available at its 1220 Union St. location in downtown, the company said.
As part of its green initiatives, Ace installed an EV ARC station, which is said to be the first off-grid solar powered, sun-tracking EV charging station that fits in a single parking space.
Ace is considering whether to install theses charging stations at locations nationwide, the company said.
“It has been a goal of ours to not only implement these strategies as a part of our daily operations, but to also show other companies how to implement and utilize these strategies in their own business practices as well,” said Keith Jones, managing principal at Ace.
San Diego-based Ace Parking manages more than 450 locations coast to coast, serving nearly 200,000 customers per day and generating more than $369 million in revenue a year, according to the company.
