7-Eleven Opens Evolution Store in San Diego

7-Eleven has opened its first Evolution Store in San Diego.

According to a press release, the concept store, located on El Cajon Blvd., will include Mexican food restaurant Laredo Taco, as well as other new products and services like Kombucha and cold brew on tap; self-serve drinks like lattes and cappuccinos; a cold treat bar with frozen yogurt, ice cream and toppings; an electronic kiosk with tablets and Bluetooth headphones for sale; an expanded selection of wine and craft beer; and mobile check-out and delivery app option.

Because of the current coronavirus crisis, 7-Eleven is taking additional precautions to follow CDC safety guidelines. This includes “7Now”, 7-Eleven’s on-demand delivery app, and the use of Postmates; enforced social distancing using floor markers and sneeze guards at the front sales counter; and limiting the sales quantities per customer of high demand and essential products like paper products and pantry staples like eggs and milk.

The San Diego Evolution Store opening follows the launch of a Dallas store last March and Washington D.C. and New York City openings at the beginning of March.
