The Port of San Diego is seeking a developer for a budget hotel/motel near the San Diego Bay.
According to the Port of San Diego website, the lower cost overnight accommodations will be located near downtown San Diego and the San Diego International Airport and will provide affordable coastal access. A proposal to the port may include: hostel, budget/economy hotel/motel, micro concept accommodations like capsules and pods; and any “other friendly overnight accommodations,” according to the site.
An information exchange meeting is set to take place on Feb. 4 at 1 p.m., all questions are due by Feb. 7, proposals by March 7, interviews will follow April 2-4 and presentations to the Board of Port Commissioners will take place May 14.
