Valley View Casino & Hotel and AEG announced a multiyear extension of the naming rights agreement for Valley View Casino Center at 3500 Sports Arena Blvd.
The agreement, which runs through 2018, provides Valley View Casino & Hotel with extensive signage and LED branding exposure on the exterior and throughout the building, inclusion in all marketing and event collateral, as well as a supply of premium tickets for hosting opportunities at Valley View Casino Center and other AEG Facilities venues worldwide, Valley View said.
According to Valley View, as part of the partnership, AEG continues to invest in upgrades to Valley View Casino Center, including new lower-level seating, a new VIP lounge and new entrances with high-definition LCD flat screens. Additionally, Levy Restaurants, the food and beverage partner for STAPLES Center and numerous arenas worldwide, will now be the food and beverage partner for Valley View Casino Center.
Financial details of the partnership were not released.
The original deal was brokered by AEG Global Partnerships in 2010 with Valley View.
Earlier this year, it was announced that professional hockey would be returning this fall to San Diego and the historic Valley View Casino Center after nearly a decade absence when the San Diego Gulls begin play as the Anaheim Ducks top affiliate in the American Hockey League.
“We have built a great relationship with the city of San Diego and the community at-large through this venture with AEG. With professional hockey returning to Valley View Casino Center, we’re excited to play a part in bringing another exceptional sporting experience to San Diegans,” said Joe Navarro, president and CEO of the San Pasqual Development Group Inc., the San Pasqual tribe’s gaming corporation.
AEG Facilities, a stand-alone affiliate of AEG, owns, operates or consults with more than 100 of the venues worldwide, across five continents, providing complete venue management, as well as specialized programs in operations, guest services, ticketing, booking, sales and marketing, according to AEG.
