Sycuan Casino named John Dinius to its general manager post permanently, the organization announced on Jan. 21.
Dinius is a 22-year veteran of the organization. He joined Sycuan as a bingo pull tabs clerk and worked his way up through the ranks to become top manager of the casino. He has been interim general manager since 2014.
The Sycuan casino and resort properties are on the tribe’s reservation in the Dehesa Valley east of El Cajon. The business currently has 2,000 slot machines and more than 40 table games. It began operations in 1983, initially offering bingo.
