Three San Diego hotels earned top designations in the latest annual honors bestowed by Forbes Travel Guide, formerly known as Mobil Travel Guide, rating the nation’s elite luxury properties.
New York-based Forbes Media LLC announced Nov. 15 that The Grand Del Mar in Carmel Valley was among the newest additions to the national listing of 57 Five-Star hotels, in the travel guide’s 54th annual rating of the top hotels, restaurants and spas.
Earning four stars this year are prior winners The Lodge at Torrey Pines and The US Grant.
The guide’s 25 Five-Star restaurants include Addison in San Diego and A.R. Valentien in La Jolla.
Among 30 Five-Star spas are The Spa at Grand Del Mar, and the listing of 103 Four-Star spas includes The Spa at Torrey Pines at The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla.
