San Diego Company Tapped to Manage Two Carlsbad Hotels

San Diego-headquartered RAR Hospitality has assumed management of the Holiday Inn Carlsbad and Staybridge Suites Carlsbad, following an agreement with the hotels’ owner, Alps Group of Hotels.

Financial terms of the agreement with Carlsbad-based Alps Group were not disclosed. A statement from RAR Hospitality said the company now manages daily operations for a total of nine branded hotels throughout Southern California, overseeing functions including customer service, food and beverage, marketing, accounting and human resources.

Officials said RAR Hospitality executive vice president of operations Bob Moore “played an integral role” in the assumption of management of the two properties. The hotelier has more than 13 years of service experience in Carlsbad.

The 133-room Holiday Inn is at 2725 Palomar Airport Road, and the 106-room Staybridge Suites is at 2735 Palomar Airport Road. The hotels were built in a dual-branded “campus” setup, sharing amenities including on-site dining venues, a resort-style courtyard and outdoor relaxation pool.
