XCom Global Inc., a Japanese company with its U.S. headquarters in San Diego, announced the April launch of a new mobile hotspot, which won a CES Innovation Award at the consumer electronics trade show in Las Vegas.
In a Jan. 6 announcement, the business said its product is the world’s first truly global mobile hotspot that uses fourth-generation LTE speeds and frequencies in more than 200 countries. It can connect up to 10 Wi-Fi-enabled devices to the Internet.
The XCom Global Mobile Hotspot will be available for rent. Frequent travelers will be able to buy a hotspot along with a service plan.
