San Diego-based TVC Capital Invests Additional $2.5M in Software Co.

San Diego-based TVC Capital LLC has invested an additional $2.5 million in Denver software maker Levels Beyond, the companies said on April 3. The move augments TVC’s late 2012 investment of $4.5 million, bringing total investment to $7 million.

Levels Beyond produces the Reach Engine video management software platform. Jeb Spencer, managing partner with TVC Capital and chairman of Levels Beyond, called the tool “very elegant technology” that is easy to use. With it, Spencer said, a person can take a piece of content — for example, the most exciting 30 seconds of a basketball game — and send it to hundreds of locations using a variety of formats.

“We’ve added a new customer every day for the last seven business days,” he added. “We couldn’t be more excited about it.”

TVC Capital, which has offices in the Del Mar area, invests in software. Previous investments include Del Mar Datatrac, which produces software for mortgage lenders.
