The Israeli newspaper Haaretz is reporting that Qualcomm Inc. bought the Israeli arm of U.K.-based chip maker CSR PLC for about $45 million. The report could not be immediately verified.
Qualcomm already has a presence in Haifa and other locations in Israel, with 126,000 square feet, according to a securities filing from November.
CSR is based in Cambridge.
