Frank Hettmann Appointed CFO at Neology

Neology has named Frank Hettmann as its chief financial officer, the company announced on July 24. The business, based in Poway, offers electronics for the tolling, electronic vehicle registration and public safety markets.

Hettmann brings 30 years of experience to the job. For the last seven years, he served as director of finance and in various group and international controller roles for Microsemi Corp. Before that, he held executive roles with small to mid-sized semiconductor and technology companies.

Neology announced in late June that it acquired the tolling and automated license plate recognition business from 3M Co. (NYSE: MMM)’s Transportation Safety Division.

“Frank is a key addition to the leadership team,” said Francisco Martinez De Velasco, CEO of Neology, in a prepared statement. “He brings a wealth of financial and operational knowledge leading and building finance and administrative infrastructure. His entrepreneurial background and experience in M&A and integration is particularly valuable to Neology.”

Neology is a subsidiary of Smartrac N.V. It specializes in passive radio frequency identification technology (aka RFID) and has a patent portfolio centered on that technology.
