CureMatch Gets Seed Funding

San Diego software startup CureMatch Inc. has received an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Midwest venture capital firm Serra Ventures and tech entrepreneur Phil Trubey.

The company said the new capital is a bridge round to a Series A financing, which the company is currently trying to raise.

CureMatch was founded with capital from Analytics Ventures, a venture studio in San Diego. Now, the company’s fresh capital comes from Serra Ventures and Trubey, who founded Websense in San Diego (acquired by Raytheon in 2015 for $1.8 billion).

CureMatch did not disclose the size of the funding round, nor has the company filed paperwork with the SEC reporting an equity or debt round.

CureMatch has a software platform that uses analytics to help doctors determine the best treatments (and latest combination therapies) for cancer patients.
