Chamber Posts Coronavirus Business Update

The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce has created a coronavirus page on its website. The organization said it plans to update the page with timely resources and information from federal, state and local officials and partner organizations.

The following was posted March 19:

A message from Chamber President & CEO Jerry Sanders:

During this unprecedented time, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce understands the urgent need for information and resources to make critical decisions regarding business operations and options for employees. We are in regular contact with our elected officials and partner organizations regarding the status of the disease locally and recommendations.

Just as we advise businesses to be prepared for natural disasters, we are recommending active preparation for coronavirus. We encourage employers to be flexible with leave time during this very fluid and quickly changing situation. For more information on suggested preparations for the workplace, click here.

In accordance with health and safety guidance, the Chamber team is working remotely for the remainder of March. We are available to you during this time and you can find our team’s contact information here. As more businesses implement responses to diminish the risk of virus spreading and heighten awareness for employees, I encourage you to reach out with questions and concerns. Our Chamber team is here to help.
