Scott McMillin’s father, Corky, entered local business as a remodeler and custom homebuilder. With the help of sons Scott and Mark, Corky’s company expanded into land development and real estate services. It has built 16 mixed-used communities, close to 30,000 residences and 2,000 military residences on seven bases. Liberty Station, the firm’s 361-acre re-use project at the former Naval Training Center San Diego in Point Loma, has won international accolades. He works closely with brother Mark, the company’s CEO.
PHILANTHROPY: Among other local contributions, Scott and his wife, Susan, gave more than half a million dollars to a Sharp Hospice Care program.
