Mary Ann McGarry

SD 500 recap: Mary Ann McGarry has built Guild Mortgage Co. into one of the nation’s leading lenders with 344 offices in 29 states, more than 4,000 employees and annual loan volume of $16 billion. Guild in 2018 acquired Cornerstone Mortage of St. Louis, which added 19 offices in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas and a loan volume of $1 billion. McGarry has been CEO since 2007; she began her career at Guild in 1984 as internal audit supervisor. She serves on the Mortgage Bankers Association’s investment committee and servicing committee, and on the Fannie Mae advisory council.
