A former mayor of Escondido, Lori Holt Pfeiler was appointed president and CEO of the Building Industry Association in 2021 after serving for more than 10 years as president and CEO of San Diego Habitat for Humanity. She is board chair of the San Diego Housing Federation and former chair of SANDAG and the North County Transit District. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from CSU San Marcos
