SD500 2022: Rob Quigley

The $185 million Central Library designed by Rob Quigley opened in East Village almost a decade ago, a milestone in Quigley’s architecture practice, which is now in its fifth decade. The architect’s portfolio includes academic buildings, cultural centers, high-rise towers and master plans for neighborhoods, campuses, parks and transit corridors. Quigley’s firm, with offices in San Diego and Palo Alto, has won more than 70 regional and national awards. Other recent designs include Bayside Fire Station No. 2; Fire Station No. 5; and an $81 million affordable housing complex in Mid-City.
