Tourism professional Patti Roscoe got her first taste of San Diego as a tourist before moving to the region from Buffalo, N.Y., in the mid-1960s. Roscoe founded, ran and franchised a successful destination management company from 1981 to 2017 before selling to Allied International. Now retired, she continues to support and contribute to many local causes and organizations, including San Diego State University, the Comic-Con Museum and Girl Scouts San Diego.
