CHAIRMAN, THE BURNHAM FOUNDATION
Malin Burnham founded the Burnham Center for Community Advancement in 2021. The organization, which Burnham calls a “think-and-do tank,” is working in multifaceted ways to improve San Diego. For six decades, Burnham helped build and lead his family’s insurance and commercial real estate businesses until Cushman & Wakefield bought the company in 2008. Organizations such as the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute and USD’s Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate have benefited from Burnham’s philanthropic support.
