PRESIDENT, SAN DIEGO MESA COLLEGE
Ashanti Hands has been president at San Diego Mesa College since June 2022 and was previously vice president of student services. Hands was also dean of student affairs at UC San Diego for nearly nine years. She is a member of the Association of California Community College administrators and has served as a faculty member on several institutes within the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. She received her Ph.D. in educational leadership and administration at San Diego State University
