Home and garden retailer Orchard Supply Hardware plans a Nov. 29 opening for its first San Diego County store, at 8780 Navajo Road in San Diego. The location is near the city’s eastern border with La Mesa.
A statement from the San Jose-based retailer said the 28,000-square-foot store will employ nearly 70 full- and part-time workers. The company’s stores have sections devoted to categories including home, garden, hardware, paint and lifestyle items, and the San Diego location will have a 4,600-square-foot nursery section.
Orchard Supply Hardware was started in 1931 and currently operates 80 stores in California, three in Oregon and two in Florida.
