San Diego-based Jerome’s Furniture has named Kevin Bligh as its new chief operating officer, heading the retailer’s financial and business operations.
A company statement said Bligh most recently served as chief financial officer at Massachusetts-based Vionx Energy Corp. Officials said he has 40 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting, operations, strategic planning and analysis, among other areas, and has implemented technologies that cut costs and streamline practices.
He is a certified public accountant with a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Bentley College. Bligh will report directly to Brian Woods, who was recently named chief executive officer of Jerome’s Furniture.
Founded in 1954 and headquartered in Rancho Bernardo, the family-owned Jerome’s Furniture operates 13 Southern California home furnishings retail locations and is named for Chairman Jerome “Jerry” Navarra.
